What is
Split Microfiber?
Microfiber is an ultra fine, polyester/polyamide (nylon) fiber that
is split and either woven or knitted into fabric. Microfibers
are one third the diameter of cotton fibers and one quarter the
diameter of fine wool fibers. The structural properties of
microfiber fabric make it a superior cleaning and polishing
material.
The cross-section of the fiber is especially wedge shaped in
triangles. This allows you to completely remove the
pollutants, dusts with only using water.
Microfiber is available in several different constructions such as
warp knit (terry), circular knit (terry), woven suede and woven
waffle, etc., each providing different features and benefits.
The quality and performance of the fabric is determined by both the
type of fiber and the processing method.
Efficiency:
Ultra-Fine Microfiber can be used in the most
sensitive areas.
Ultra Absorbent and Quick Drying
It absorbs moisture much
more than conventional textiles due to the ground-breaking capillary
action created by the microfibers.
Features of Ultra Fine Split Microfiber
Wonderful Softness without irritation. Feels like silk.
Will leave your horses hair coat shiny.
Powerful absorption and moisture evacuation.
By dividing raw material compound thread into 8-16 sections, finer
fiber is created.
The capillary action produced by the numerous little spaces ensures
that the Ultra-Fine Microfiber has an absorption and dries faster
than any other fiber.
Its natural antibiotic action of nano structures does not allow
bacteria and ticks to survive.
It retains this ability even after repeated washing.
Ultra-fine split microfiber easily removes any
dirt or stains even without the use of chemicals.
It has millions of microscopic hooks that can pick up virtually any
stains, dirt, dust particles and even bacteria effectively from your
horse.
A single strain of Ultra-Fine Microfiber is more than 100th times finer
than the human hair and 200th times smaller than cotton fiber, yet
it is draft horse strong and incredibly durable.
It is superabsorbent, hypoallergenic for sensitive thin skinned
horses and anti-bacteria to prevent the spread of fungus.
Cotton fiber is an organic fiber and is susceptible to housing
germs. It often contaminates and spreads bacteria.
Many horse barns are not aware of the dangers of using sprays which
contain harmful toxic chemicals that can create breathing problems
for them and their horses.
Our ultra-fine split microfibers are very powerful.
Give them a try.
You will be hooked!
What are
benefits of Microfiber?
Superior Cleaning Power: Microscope size of split fibers can
reach into tiny pockets in the surface and grab dirt. Perfect
for getting the hair out of your horses ears after clipping too!
The "wedged shaped" strands provide more effective cleaning surfaces
than round strands used in other cloths.

Antimicrobial Ultra-Microfiber Cloth
United States Patent 6258455
An antimicrobial
material having at least one yarn having fine fiber of 1.0 denier or
less and at least one yarn having antimicrobial fiber that are
engaged with each other, wherein the antimicrobial fibers impart an
antimicrobial property to the entire material.
In a preferred embodiment, the yarns of fine fiber and yarns of
antimicrobial fiber are woven or knitted together.
It is further preferred that the fine fiber be less than 0.3 denier,
have a diameter of approximately 3 microns, and have a generally
triangular cross-section with sharp edges, therefore allowing the
fine fiber to substantially remove bacteria, fungi and other
microbes from a surface.
It is also preferred that the antimicrobial fibers comprise an
acetate fiber spun together with polyester to give the antimicrobial
fiber added strength.
